Parking fine

Sadly they're made to look official and mimic council and police tickets, plus they make threats of things such as court action that can in fact never happen - both of which will frighten most people into paying. If people never paid the scam wouldn't work. Many people will make irrational decisions and judgements when put into a state of fear, and may not consider searching the net, again if everyone who had the internet did I doubt the scams would still be going.Coupon-mad wrote: »Sorry but you are an MSEer and you paid a PPC fine, I am shocked and saddened.
It looks very much like they've intentionally left it just over a month hoping they've forgotten they paid, and added the OP to a "sucker list" and tried extorting further money with their fictitious debt collecting company located in the same office. It's no surprise has happened to two different people at the same times.0 -
But as an MSEer I would have come here first, wouldn't you? I am not blaming Clare but she isn't an MSE newbie so I am surprised the scam wasn't sussed with a quick search on MSE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

the advice is to ignore all PPC invoices and their debt collectors! Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
