  • I wonder how the owners of those vehicles feel about you publishing their car's whereabouts and rego plate details.

You do know that soggy 80GSM paper and wiper blades are not a good marriage? I would hazzard a guess that accidents do occur from poor visibilty due to fouled/deformed rubbers.

Publishing them? They get seen every day on the roads. There's nothing secret about a VRM.

Agreed on this point, although reg numbers only really a problem along with vin numbers etc.

I think laminating it and pasting it over the PPC's signs is a much better idea.

I'm sure you do. However, I suspect the Information Commissioner would move on the admins of this site if one of those car owners were to make a privacy complaint. You ever heard of Google Street?

The results of these unfortunate accidents tend to grow to be PPC knuckle draggers, Clampers and their associated shysters :rotfl:

A VRM contains no personal data.

PPC groupies are in no position to raise issues relating to the abuse of personal data. Pots and kettles spring to mind.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
  • When it comes to pots and kettles, I don't encourage those who break laws and implied contracts to compromise their honesty principles in favour of avoiding fines and penalties through strawman logic and outright untruths: I leave that up to the discussion board's oracles.

In this thread the OP has taken it upon himself to litter cars (and carparks) with unsolicited flyers, possibly damaging wiper blades, glass and impairing visibility, merely because he has weighed the greater good of his own crusade against the impudence and inconvenience of his actions. For those who diligently follow the rules and have no reason to fear an infringement notice, it would at best be amusing, on average an insult.

i intend to sit in asda car park near where i live and hand a leaflet to the driver if they get a ticket.. its then up to them if they pay or not.. hopefully not..

id rather have to scrape off wet paper and replace my £3 wiper blade than pay £75.. and i bet 99% of people would too
