Us Visa Waiver

Hello Everyone,

I am a travel agent and i have had a customer come in today who has got conned on a US Visa Waiver Website.
I just thought i would let anyone who might be confused on it know what the correct website is...

https://
esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta

Please Please Please do not use anything else even if this one is busy (that is unfortunatly what my customer has done) They charged him $45 USD, The official only charges $10pp for the Visa and $4 dollars processing fee.

Im posting this to hopefully save a few people from getting conned.

Thanks,
Sophie

Useful info - but frequently mentioned on here so hopefully not news to anyone regular.

Did he actually get the waiver he applied for through the fee paying site? Some of them are totally fraudulent - others just a ripoff where you get the waiver at an inflated price
  • Sorry im new on here. It just really riled me so i thought i would try and help some other people.

Nope i have tried to chase it with them and unfortunatly they just keep sending back standardised messages. It definatly seems like a con to me. He had to tick a box which said " you acknowledge that we are nothing to do with the US Immigration" or something like that.
Dont ask me why he ticked it!

    Sophie

he can check on the official site if he has a valid ESTA - may be worth mentioning that to him.

On the right hand side of the page - even if he doesn't have his application number, there's an option to enter passport details, name, etc. and check the status.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If they paid with CC can they not dispute the transaction.

Do you sell travel to America?
Do you have a big sign in you place of work with ESTA information?

If they got the ESTA there's nothing to dispute. Paying an agent to do something for you is a perfectly valid transaction
