I've got Windows XP, and they suggested going to Add/Remove Programmes, to uninstall IE 8.
I did that, but it's still there.
They suggested an alternative route, using the Command Centre, but it just says that the pathway (?) doesn't exist.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If you remove it how will you cope with, say, Windows Updates? You can use any other browser if you prefer and remove all the icons from your desktop but not, I think, the whole program.0

Who is "they"?
Why do you want to remove Internet Explorer 8?
It's a lot more secure than IE7.0 -
Depends on the reason you have for wanting to remove it, but I would install Firefox or Google Chrome then just leave IE alone and delete the icons.
I think with XP it's too embedded in the OS to remove without creating more issues.0 -
