How long did it take you to get your Vanquis card?

They phoned me on 31st October saying I had been accepted and the rest, I got the pin the next week but its now 27th November and still no card, I phoned last week and they told me there was a delay in getting the cards out and if I hadn't got it by this week to phone them, well it didn't come and I phoned up and got told the same story again, I am thinking about giving them the £100 cash advance back and telling them to cancel.

    They phoned me after 31/10/2010 and my card arrived 13 days after the call , the card arrives before the PIN

    What colour card did you order ? they may be waiting for new stock in your particular choice of colour :idea:

    I have a limit of £150, I took the £100 cash advance and my available balance is £47, My first payments just went out, it was £6

    If you keep paying the min, it wont be paid off for 2 years
  • I applied for my card the same time as you did (end of October) I received the card first then the pin arrived a few days later. I think mine only took just over a week (silver one). They must have the correct address as you've said that you already have the PIN. Could you maybe call them back and see if it makes a difference if you opt for a card in a different colour. As i previously mentioned, I received the acceptance phone call exactly the same time as you, give or take a day, and I've had my card for well over two weeks. Something is not right.
  • Interesting, I received the following email today from Vanquis, This to me looks like someone made a !!!! up somewhere and now I am being given the run around as they don't know how to proceed.

    No run around here, they simply don't want you as a customer and are advising you to look at your credit report on Experian. Probably have a cosy deal tied up with the Experian boys and steer all their rejected customers there.

    At least you never got the "card", think yourself lucky.

    Well then why did I get a pin and £100 advance, thats whats baffles me
