Feeling stuffed by the market

Well we accepted our house offer - it's quite a low offer but it is subject to us passing on the reduction to our new home. But we have no new home yet and the market is very weird where we need to look.
So if any of you are in Amersham and want sell your house then give me a shout.
No really, there is nothing going that we can either afford or is big enough for us. We can't change areas - its a school thing.
Do you all expect the market to slow as it is nearing Xmas?
Thanks
Helen

This is the main problem when HPI gets out of control. The rungs of the ladder become so stretched that nobody can afford to move up any more and the market stagnates.
It's not good for anyone.0 -
The market is slower at this time of year - it improves come March.
However places like London are always active as there is a transient population.
Amersham may be different. You are of course looking at family homes (I assume) and therefore Xmas is a time people tend to avoid. However people have to sell for all manner of reasons...have you checked out recent sales with EA's/internet to see if what you want does exist and it is just a waiting game?0
