Hi,i recently had a work training interview which i missed due to having the flu.I phoned them and they said they would send me a new appointment.None arrived.
Yesterday the 26th Nov i signed on as normal and nothing was said about this.
Today the 27th Nov i have received a letter saying my benefit has been sanctioned from 27th Nov to 10th Dec and i wont be payed any benefit.
Will i still be payed this week into my account? as i believe you are payed in arrears.
I fully intend to appeal this decision but i wondered whether i will get payed this week and have money to live on
Thanks

You're paid two weeks in arrears. So if you signed on 26th nov they still owe you from 13/11/10-26/11/10 so you should get paid for that fortnight. However you won't be paid for the next 2 wk period ... that make sense ?
Maybe best giving them a call about the sanction & explain you didn't get the new appointment letter. If that doesn't work then do as you say, appeal. But don't hold your breath, doubt you'll get anywhere with that until into the New Year.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0
