We moved to this house nearly 6 years ago and yet we still get mail addressed to the previous occupants(who left to move to Cyprus) from the DWP.
despite reporting this to the DWP every year nothing changes, its really starting to pee me off.
the beggars still have a credit card registered at this address and have twice hired cars at the airport and not paid the speeding fines they inccured while driving them.

You might get a better response if you post on the House buying forum as they receive lots of threads about how to deal with problems with previous tenant/owner debts and so forth.
Do you suspect that their driving licences are still registered to the UK address? Apparently, the DVLA will not record a non-GB address. On this thread, someone suggests writing to the DVLA and the other suggests contacting the police

I would send it to your local jobcentre marked for the attention of the fraud department0

How have you reported them, not sure if you have just rang the office which has sent them or if you have reported them to the benefit fraud hotline.
What is termed as abroad fraud is being dealt with very proactively at the moment - you can make a report online at https://secure.dwp.gov.uk/benefitfraud/ This should go directly to the fraud investigators.
You need to give them as much information as possible - ie name, address (which obviously you know !) and the date(s) that you are aware that they left the country. Also give them information about the credit card applications and speeding fines as it all helps to build a case.0

A person can legitimately receive a state pension and some types of disability benefit payments when living overseas, but yes, I agree the OP could make a fraud report in case they are breaching the terms of any benefit claims. However, I think that the DWP can only investigate around 5% of reports that get submitted and many fraud reports are submitted maliciously.
BTW, it's not an offence to open up previous tenants/owners mail, just an offence to do something fraudulent with it.0

We have reported to the benefit fraud line on 4 occasions.
The police know they are no longer at this address as they came looking for the guy 2 years ago .
when we said he no longer lived here they asked us for details of the soilcitor who handled the house sale as the police said that the husband should have notified them of a change of address:eek:0

Rather than reporting the DWP letters, send the letters back to the return address with "not resident at this address" written on them. The DWP will then have to enter a code on their system which in short means no more mail should come from DWP.0

If you contact experian ( the credit data company ) they will put a marker on your address stating that the person no longer lives there so any checks will be flagged.0

It looks like there's no such registration available.
