Am now in my second hour of waiting for a call back from telewest retentions. Long story, but have just been slipped back onto high tariff despite being promised I would be called back to rearrange my negotiated package before it expired. Fed up with having to do this every 3 months or be caught by them.
Considering going to skyfor tv. Current sky offer is 3 months half price, free standard inst. and free standard equipment. We would need multiroom. Does anyone know if this is ever offered pls as new offer coming out after end of this month.
Happy with telewest computer as we now have separate dedicated line, after a year of interrupted service, so will prob. keep that.
The phone is a minefield for me. We do have a bt line which we could reconnect. Assume it would be worth going down this route as telewest expensive? Any help here greatfully received as I'm confused with this one. We don't dial abroad. Most calls non geographical, call centres etc(yes I try with say no to) and local, but we don't spend hours chatting on the phone.
No doubt tw will eventually get back to me (into 3rd hour now) which speaks volumes.
Desperate for good ideas please:D Thanks

Martin's article on the subject is updated every month and, using that and some personal preferences/requirements, I came up with some basic ideas of my own. As you're considering getting Sky, the new Sky Talk £5/month offering might be of interest to you instead of 18185 if you make more than 125 weekday daytime (i.e. peak period) UK 01/02 calls every month.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Well, finally made contact! Have been made an offer I can't refuse for tv package retention.
Good deal too on computer line.
Just leaving....groan....the phone! Chappie has promised to try to pricematch but I'm always left with the feeling that they never quite do. Also means I have to keep ringing every 3 months or so to renegotiate, whereas it would no doubt be easier to jump to diffrent offers from a working Bt line.
Hmmm dilemmas....0
