I think that's a bit unfair. I live in Wapping which has terrible pavements (narrow and broken - cheers Tower Hamlets) and so I'm constantly forced to push my buggy in the road. The drivers are used to people being in the road so in almost all cases slow right down, wave you across the road and generally treat others with respect. That even applies to black cab and white van drivers!0
