I'm about to start a new short contract job starting wednesday and finishing 22nd Dec, and i'm caught with out a car.

Firstly does any one know the cheapest car hire company for such a period.

I know that the money spent hiring a car I could probably buy a car, which I am considering doing, I've weighed it up that the hire cost will be approx £900,

I'm looking to buy a 2nd hand car in the region of 2-3k, I have decided upon a particular model and have started looking, I have seen a few, but weren't for me....thus I feel instead of hurrying just to get a car, and end up getting the wrong one, I should hire a car, firstly so I can get to work and secondly to help me look for a 2nd hand car during the weekends.

regarding car hire I've had a look at 1car1.com and they've given me a quote breaking down to approx £15 a day(online quote)

I wondered has anyone had any experience of them and are there any hidden cost...

Try https://www.flexxilease.co.uk they do 3 month deals that will work out cheaper than regular car-hire.

With regards to 1car1.com, I have used them for short term hires of a week at a time a found them to be no problem at all, and cheapest option.

They are also ok with minor damage, small surface scratches etc not through the paint.
