Is it normal for seller to ask for buyer to leave feedback first?

I never leave feedback until the buyer has done so. It's my way of keeping on top of the whole process. I might sell 30 items in a week and I do not know if they have arrived until feedback is received. Wherever possible, I keep spares back until I know the originals have arrived. Also, I always offer 'a money back if not delighted' guarantee (never been claimed).
Also, you'd be surprised how many people do not leave feedback. I don't feel so bad if I haven't left feedback for them.

Can't seem to find this - can you point me in the right direction. I usually only buy and always leave feedback on the day of receipt for my seller before they do for me as it seems to be the norm. Last week I sold 2 fairly expensive items, and neither buyer has left feedback even though they've both had the items more than a couple of days now :mad:0 -

I believe it's an option in Selling Manager Pro.
It's not very sensibly worded, and from time to time we get people here complaining about this message. My TV is broken!

although probably going to be better to word my own by the sounds of it. 0 -
Selling Manager Pro is something you have to pay extra to use. I don't bother with it.My TV is broken!

Oh right, nope, not something that I'd be interested in either. Thanks for clarifying.0

I like Mrs B's approach. Will use that in future. Most of my buyers have been cool, but one or two haven't left me any feedback. There's one at the moment. Perhaps I should as her an email asking her to confirm receipt and consider leaving feedback. A gentle prompt might help. What do you think?0

I usually send out something along the lines of:
Hello,
Just to let you know that your item has now been despatched. I'd be grateful if you could confirm safe receipt, either by email or by leaving feedback.
If you have any queries do drop me a line.
