Evening,

had an incident today when a lady reversed into my car instead of going forward, both ok and swapped details, for reasons I understand she has asked not to go through insurance my car is a ford focus about ten years old and has some thumbnail size gouges where the plastic scrapped and my number plate has little cracks and a wobble what would I be looking at to repair this, Is it an offence for me to drive with a slightly damaged plate.

Thanks for Reading and any advice

kez

please note I'm not looking to 'make' on this

Although you can only see the cosmetic damage, you ought to get your car checked properly. In collisions there is often hidden damage where the body of the car has absorbed the impact which is not apparent at first sight.

And your bumper may have an internal absorption system, which now used won't work again in another collision meaning your car will take the full shock of a future impact.

Really even at the lowest of speeds ! Sounds like I might have to pop in a garage
