Email from Asda

Hey, I just received this email supposedly from Asda.

I cant actually remember entering this comp so was wondering if anyone knows if its genuine? Heres the email I recieved:

We were recently in contact to inform you that you have won CD SOUNDTRACK WEDDING CRASHER- 7 in the ASDA big entertainment competition but we have yet to receive a response from you.

Please could you send an email to [EMAIL="winners@asdacomps.com"]winners@asdacomps.com[/EMAIL] stating your full name and address and e-mail address stated at time of entering the competition.

If you do not claim your prize by midnight on Sunday 28th November then your prize will be re-allocated to another winner.

Anyone recognise that email address as I don't want to send my details off to some random person, Also I haven't won much anyway so especially dont want to send them off to anyone,

any help appreciated!

hi,

i got the same about my hannah mantana guitar i won (about 2 weeks ago). i got the phone number off the asda website and phoned to confirm it was genuine (it was).

did you get one a couple of weeks ago? as well i got one today similar to yours and then another one saying to disregard the previous one they sent today, as they can see i have confirmed my details.

Thanks for the reply! I don't remember getting one a few weeks ago which is strange, unless it was in my junk and I have accidentally deleted it??

I had this exact same email from them today and also wandered if it was genuine! I dont recall receiving an email a couple of weeks ago but maybe it did go to junk and I deleted it! I do remember entering the comp though as I had a feeling there would be quite a few mse winners!

I did a check of all my emails as I hadn't clean them out for a while an nothing came up apart from today email so I think they may have boobed somewhere. Well done on your wins.

I won a soundtrack CD, not brilliant but better than nothing and something to add to my wins list!

Glad it was genuine anyway as I have now emailed them back with my details!

Very sorry to bring up this old thread, but I didnt want to create another one incase there is 1 that I have missed.

Anyway I never ever got anything back from that email that I sent, but today out of the blue I got a letter from asda with a gift card on it.

The letter said that I had won £10 in the Big Entertainment comp ???? (I never I won a music download as above) then the letter goes on to say...

Sorry we are unable to issue that prize or something simmilar, but we have given you a £10 gift card instead!

Very pleased with this, as I had forgotten about it and £10 asda voucher is much better than a music download!

Just used asda balance checker on their website too and there is £10 on it

Yeah i got the same letter i had won a dvd and never recieved it ages ago that i had never heard of!The voucher is definately better :rotfl:

And, I just get back from asda- without the gift card!

Spent it already, was there earlier and saw some nice quilts reduced to £10 (single) which keeps you warm and cool or something, so picked up one of them which I was going to buy later this week anyway!

So yeah the vouchers do work
