Quick tip for cheap internet security! (kespersky)

Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know a tip I stumbled across.

I was looking for kespersky net security but its costs around £60, if you buy the 2008/2009 version from eBay (£6 in my case from a TRS) and download the kespersky internet security 2011 trial from kespersky site you can use the code from the 2008/2009 version to fully activate your 2011 trial! Worked for me and now up my 3 user kespersky internet security up and running on all my machines.

Good little loophole for cheap protection!

Steve

Or, you could take the legal route.

Open a current account with Barclays, sign up for internet banking and stick a quid in there.

FREE Kaspersky for ever (or at least until they stop the loophole).

Dodgy software = risk of viruses. Why take an expensive chance?

Even cheaper.......use alternative free versions of security/anti-virus etc.. plenty of satisfied users.

Nothing dodgy about it. The are old versions of Kaspersky still kicking around on CD. The activation code from these will work on the latest versions.

That was the legal route Kaspersky allow a valid licence to upgrade to a current version any time within the licences lifetime . If you want to make sure you can check with Kaspersky .

Yes you can go the alternative route and use free that's a matter of user choice personal preference .

They don't get house room on any machine of mine as my personal choice and preference is Kaspersky even if i had to pay full price for it .
