I bought my son a Toshiba Equium A 100-549 for his birthday. Recently it froze whilst he was using it, he had to take the batterry out to cut the power as it wouldn't turn off. When he tried it a few days later it switched on then went off again, it did this about three times then started asking for a bios password. I phoned Toshiba customer services and they said we must have caused this by going in to setup when trying to boot up, which my son admitted to doing. I was told I would have to take it to a reccomended dealer to have the password reset at a cost of around £35. Should it have come with the necessary literature about this password when I purchased, as I havent set/forgot this. I'v looked on ebay for whats been reccomended but not sure it will do the job. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be fab. Thanks0
