No spend day for me too. DH just called to say his card declined at the garage and when checked online the mortgage has come out today but a cheque paid in on friday wont clear til tomorrow so no money available for me to spend today, (will stay in just incase so I don't see a "bargain" and have to pay by cheque to cheat!)I will be rich :rotfl:0

I got up late & had to (?) spend £3 on breakfast on the way to work. I've got to find a way to stop doing this -I get up really early & find the extra 10 minutes needed for breakfast impossible some days. I could keep stuff at work but I have 90 min journey & am starving before I make it in to the office & there are so many temptations at every stage of the journey.
Good luck rog2 for hearing.

You could always buy packs of things - croissants/cereal bars etc - that don't need preparation so you could just pick one up and go to work. I am sure that will work out cheaper than buying breakie every day

I'm on half term from my course but have loads of work I want to do, so locking myself in the house to be productive with the useful side-effect that I can't go out and spend money! We have unlimited cinema cards and I'm also trying to bribe myself that if I get lots of work done/ achieved I will reward myself with a trip to cinema with OH tonight, will bring sweeties from home to avoid buying stuff there. So hopefully NSD for me.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

£15.83 on groceries, but I'll get part of that back as it included some cheese advertising a try me free offer so i'll think of a reason why I didn't like it. (Must remember to send it in quickly though as the closing date is 31 October)Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
