i wouldnt hold out much hope for the 75% sale.
If i remember rightly all that was reduced to 75% last time was wrapping paper, cards and tags and a few other bits.
Most of the stuff goes in the 50% sale, and as we've been in a ressecion, shops have been buying less stock, so theres less in the sales anyway.
If theres anything you desperately want buy it now, as you'll be lucky to get it in the sale.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
There was a fair few descent things online.......but of course the site completely crashed and burned as usual so it was pot luck if you managed to check out. I ended up heading to store around lunch time and managed to pick up a few descent bits that were still left - but of course the sale section looked like it had been invaded by a plague of locusts by this time lol!!!!0

I must have been one of the locusts. LOL. I got that many bargains, I haven't used them all, so they'll go for birthdays and gifts next year too.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

This is not true of my local store, the 75% off sale was just as big as usual this year. I managed to get toys, gift sets, pj's etc. All items were reduced to 75% not just wrap etc. I should imagine it will be same next year. You just have to follow when the sale is going to start and make sure you are at the store at 9am, well that is what I have done for the last few years and it has always worked for me.0 -
I got a lot of this years Christmas presents in the Boots 75% off sale in store. Very store specific. My DH went to his local one where they had masses of stock and got me presents for my birthday, Mothers Day and Anniversary! I don't mind receiving bargains!! lolThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

I have £100 on my advantage card, ok it's probably not much compared to some, but I don't usually have more than a fiver on it. :rotfl:
COR! I think I have about £15, and it rarely gets any higher than that!!! But then I am not a religious Boots customer so what do I expect!!!!
Have fun redeeming those points - I would!Donna
Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.0 -

Jaime oliver apron Toiletry gift sets, Whisky gift sets, port sets, beer gift set chocolates, truffles and biscuits, £247.96 worth for £61.99. i wasn't bothered about the wrap, cards tags etc til they went down to about 90% off.Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)
It takes 3500 calories to lose a pound in weight. Target 13 lbs weight loss. 18.5lbs lost 2nd May - 28 September.0 -
That sounds great, ive been saving my points but its only ever about £10. I usually save them up then treat myself to something nice in the sale so it feels quite nice to have an extra.0

I remember many of us from MSE waited ages for the online sale and then the Boots website crashed. We all had a little laugh at the picture on the website of a man and woman. Oh the joys, I can see it happening again.0
