Buyer not collecting parcel

Strange one this. I sold a car cd player to a previously 100% + (although only 14 transactions) buyer. No problem and they paid immediately with paypal. I posted player next day special delivery (auction said parcel but it was just a cheap to do special). Its now sat at the post office for over 2 weeks uncollected and buyer has not responded to any emails I've sent. I've only sent three as I don't want to seem nagging, but if they don't pick up the player soon then I'll get it returned and the problems will start. They have had no ebay activity since mine that I can see.

  • Seems very strange.
However, if the goods are returned to you keep hold of them - the buyer may have been involved in a accident or something that has kept him away from the computer and collecting the item.
If that is the case there may be someone at his house who does not know his log in details e.t.c so in these circumstances I would send a letter to the household using the buyers address and just address it to the household and hopefully if something has happened to the buyer someone may be able to shed some light on it.

If it comes back to you just keep the item for a while, there can be many reasons why he hasnt collected it. Send him a few messages to his account and hope that he gets in touch. If nothing has happened within about a month of you recieving it back then refund him the amount it cost, but make sure you keep what it cost to list and send. Seems like the fairest way way to me.
