Fed up with Gas/Electric!!

Im litterally so fed up with Gas/Electric I just want to vent my frustrations about the hassle Ive had over the last few months
Firstly I tried to switch the supply from BG to Swalec, after months of back and forth between the companies (arguing if I ever requested the switch) I finally got my supplies transferred. Gas was fine but Electricity they have both kept insisting it is a prepayment meter (according to BG records, one was installed the day before I moved in - Wrong), have finally after 4 months got this sorted with both suppliers however now this is where the fun begins, Swalec have caused me no end of problems and after being a customer for over a year I have had enough, now at my new property I have a 'new' name thanks to Swalec and refuse to seem to correct this and thier customer service has been appauling. They recently said they are putting thier prices up 9.4% so I figured I have a good excuse as any to switch again.
My new supplier is OVO, today they contacted me telling me there is problems with switching my supply and that I need to give them the serial numbers etc - to be honest this is the first time any one has queried there has been a problem so that I do not mind, however I can only see that this is going to just a big a mess to sort out this time around. I have explained the situation to them and asked them to check that my electric is not registered as prepayment but heres the issue - I have no serial numbers - Everyone Ive spoken to at BG and Swalec tell me I do, I must have been asked to check my meter about 100 times - it has not magically appeared, they make me out to be completely stupid and ask me if im looking in the right place - to add salt to the wound they even asked me if I could get someone else to check (My OH has and so has his dad - but nothing). I do not know why but there is definitely nothing on either meter (nor for upstairs meters either) the only form of anything on my gas meter is a sticker saying is was installed by BG in 1989.
I now have to rely on the details BG gave me when they checked through thier records - it seems the supply from my flat had never been switched previously until I requested it, so I have been given the now corrected serials BG hold for me which match what Swalec have so I can only assume this is right.
Im so fed up that just because (I assume BG) screwed up in the first place Ive had all this bleeding hassle over it, I must have spent at least £40 on phone calls to BG and Swalec the last few months let alone hours sat on the phone trying to explain the same information over and over again. Im dreading having the same issues with my new supplier

Because the cost is definitely not the same!
For example - the same gas usage BG £31, Swalec £27, OVO £24MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11
