I was walking past Ottakar's today and noticed "The Dr Who Story Book". Might be worth a try? Didn't notice the price though...0

I'm planning on getting my 14 year old nephew some books for christmas. He loves reading. I know he enjoyed all the harry potter books and I'm looking for some ideas of any that are suitable for a 14 year old who always has his head in a book.0

Would it be worth taking him to the library and seeing what sort of books he picks himself and enjoys - or does he bring certain types of book home from school (if he gets to pick his reading or school library books)?
Have just found a ten book set of Horrid Henry for £9.99 on The Book People site. They look fun so I think I'll get him some of those and keep my fingers crossed.0 -

Hi
If your son likes Horrid Henry books, you cannot go wrong with Captain Underpants! Incredibly silly stories with funny illustrations, full of cheesy jokes. My 8 year old loves these books.SSB

How about Ursula leguin's
Earthsea books. They are excellent.I think there are about 5 of them starting with The wizard of Earthsea0 -
my 11 year old is a reluctant reader too- but has enjoyed all the horrible histories, science, geography books, but recently came across books by paul jennings - a bit weird , also louis sachs who wrote holes and another one which all the kids in the local year 5 class love, but its name escapes me. give them a looksee and see what you think anyway. All the other ideas have been great too!:D0
