How to speed things up!?

We accepted an offer on our house about 4 weeks ago, the people buying are first time buyers and when my partner spoke to our solicitor yesterday she said that they weren't very far along with the purchase and said they are being cautious because they are first time buyers.
I'm keen to move as soon as possible, we had an offer accepted on the house we want to buy at the beginning of the week, we've already got the survey arranged and things seem to be moving quickly.
How do I now get our buyers to spped up? This is the first time we've sold a house, how do we know when the completion date will be etc etc? All advice gratefully receceived.

In my experience there is no way to 'speed things up', these things plod along at their own pace.
While it does suit you to move faster it may not suit your buyer. The only way to proceed in my experience is to tell your solicitor what completion date you want and ask them to agree that with the other concerned buyers.
Buying a house is a big decision and shouldn't be rushed, thats how mistakes occur.Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.0
