Tesco -Bsm

I've had an awful experience with bsm.
For most of this year I've been saving up my vouchers from tesco to buy my little brother his first 4 hours driving lessons for his 17th birthday. The highway code etc all arrived and he was really excited to start driving.
He booked his simulation lesson the day before his birthday to then be told the machine is broken and it's not very realistic anyway! He was then asked if he wanted to book more lessons after the ones from tesco finish. They were about £5 more expensive per lesson so we declined as we would go to a local instructor. I was Quite annoyed as the simulator was part of the deal! I decided not to worry as it was his big driving day the next day.
He turned up and got buddied up with an instructor, was sitting in the driving seat, seatbelt on and the instructor asked him when he would like his future bookings, my little brother replied he wasn't planning to stay on after the free lessons. The instructor then said training him wasn't worth his time and asked him to get out the car, he then mumbled about not getting paid much when using vouchers.
This has totally ruined his birthday and I feel like it's my fault as it was me who bought the vouchers, it really hurt to are his disappointment as he came home early. I've booked with the private company but it's still over week away. I've spoke to a manager at bsm who have promised me a call back and a free lesson but we have received nothing, have called tesco and they said I need to sort it out with bsm.
So if you have vouchers, keep them for goldsmiths

To be honest its better to begin with the instructor you wish to carry on with, as any new nistructor will basically have to start afresh as they all have their own styles and need to see where you're up to.
My instructor told me he sometimes got new pupils who wanted a few hours before a test, but he used to insist on at least 6 hours with them (i.e three 2 hour lessons) so he could see where they were up to etc. Luckily he gave good discounts!
So I do see where the instructor was coming from, but its annoying for you and your brother to have a nice treat ruined.
Could you try and get some knid of refund from bsm rather than a free lesson?0 -
BSM have a slight problem with quality and customer care. They train and pass their own drivers, whereas other instructors are passed by the Driving Standards Agency.
If I were you, yes, I would complain to both Head Offices, and discuss this with another instructor unconnected to BSM - they can advise you if there is anything in his behaviour that warrants contacting the relevant government department.
It was totally unprofessional to do that to him.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
