Out of the Peugeot range the 307 would be my choice but if you can get a high spec car for the same money then it will always be worth it.

    We have put a deposit on a Peugeot 307 1.6S 2055/55 reg 9000 miles

I have read mixed reviews about this car - is it worthwhile or should I cancel?

We have a budget of up to £8000 and want a car of this size, not too old or too many miles.

Any suggestions or advice? It is a minefield.

    Many thanks

Dont look anywhere else you've bought that car, if you did cancel its not only the deposit you could lose. They would be well within their rights to sue you for losses ie profit. You signed an order form which is a legally binding contract. Just a point of note though did you take their finance or are you paying cash?

The exhaust cracked on my 307 , Over £900 to replace the whole exhaust – this is because the exhaust did not come in sections therefore the catalytic converter had to be replaced at the same time. I have had numerous problems including indicator stalks over cancelling and failing flywheels – letters to Peugeot led nowhere !

The only good thing I have to say about my 307 is that it's paid for. I'll not be buying another Pug. Japanese or German for me next time
