ethernet over power (or AC?)

Hi

I am looking for the cheapest networking solution using the elctricity supply, i currently use wireless networking but its very very poor in my flat so was thinking this could be the solution, anyone know where i can find it!! ?

    ethernet over AC isnt cheap the adaptors usually cost a fair bit more, well they did when I looked at it a while ago, the performance isnt brilliant up to 85mbps but it is better than 54mb wireless.

    another thing make sure you dont you buy power over ethernet as that is a different thing all together ;)

    As for where to buy it just search the web for ethernet over power and see where it takes you, I know scan.co.uk did have some adaptors but the site is down at the moment.

    check ebuyer, they definately sell homeplugs but they are about £30 for each connector iirc

    Here are several Homeplugs.

    They work fine, at a real 65 Mbps (down from 85 Mbps). Unlike wireless, for which you need to divide the rated figure by around 2 or 3.
