I wouldn't pay £150 for that. 1Gig processor? That dates it by about 3yrs and not a mention of how much RAM only expandable to 512k. Sound and video onboard using some of what RAM there is. My advice for what it's worth. Leave it alone.0

Yea I saw this a few days back, (I get emailed) but didn't think it worthy of a mention due to a poor spec and the lack of a OS, on a AMD or intel machine that wouldn't bother me, but one has to wonder if the processor is fully compatabile with windozevBulletin getting better!0

maybe that's why they are shipping it without an OS - it won't work properly with any
(probably will with Linux but that's not the majority of people want) 0 -
AFAIK the VIA processor is fully compatible with windows.
It doesn't have the horsepower of an Intel, AMD 1GHz processor do have a low power consumption.
As to my earlier points they are well documented on the web. ECS is it's sister company (both part of HSing Tech (various spellings)) which is aimed slightly upmarket and are actually half decent boards.
I don't know how up to date it is but the PC Chips Lottery used to be the best source of info.

Yes beyond speed there's nothing much wrong with VIA processors but it's still fine for basic stuff - word processing, internet etc.
Once you take into account the lack Operating System you could spend a few quid more for a decent 1.3-1.5ghz mobile celeron (Celeron-M) or AMD Sempron laptop.0 -
I see these are out of stock now so I'm moving this thread to Gone but was it any good.0
