PCN from Britannia Parking

Hi

I have received a Parking Charge Notice from Britannia Parking for an "alleged contravention" in New Cross Shopping Centre car park in Hamilton. The problem with the notice is that, although the registration of the car printed in the letter is that of my car, I have never been in Scotland with my car. I live in Yorkshire some hundreds of miles away from this site of the parking offence, and on the so called day of the parking offence, was at work in Yorkshire. I have read some threads about this company and the general advice is to ignore the letters. However, this is usually for people who have used the car park in the first place where as I haven't. Should I just ignore it?

Your car may have been cloned in which case you should inform the police of the possibility, but more than likely its a mistake by the parking scammers, you should ignore them completely!

However if it was me I would appeal via email telling them to provide photographic evidence of your car parked there, as you were 100s of miles away at the time, I would bet they will refuse your appeal ;) its what scammers do, but it will cost them money and time to reply to you, which means less time harassing others.

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
