ive got £750 on my Egg CC, hsbc called me on friday and said that i could transfer balances from other CC's and pay 7.9% instead of the usual 9.9% i pay (its an online card btw) however im going to have to pay the 2% charge so about £15. My Egg card is 16.9% , is it worth it for £750?

It really depends how long you think you'll have the balance on the card. Roughly how much interest are you being charged on it at the moment?
Also, it might be worth giving Egg a quick call and telling them what you've been offered. They might be able to match it/better it and save yourself the fee.0 -
It all depends on how long it will take to pay the £750 off the egg cc. If it will take you 12 months to clear the balance then you will save nearly 10% in interest (max £75). Also do you have a balance on the HSBC card? If you do, any payments you make to HSBC will pay off the lower APR first, so the other money you owe on it will still be charged at the 9.9%DMP starts June 2012, £38,180.
