Sleepmasters wont refund me!

After just 4 weeks of using my new mattress ( a Sensaform springs/memory foam one ) it developed a large dip (3cm deep at the moment) in the centre which will not go away and is getting bigger. I complained, duly took pics, and now they say that is normal. They also say I should rotate the mattress regularly and sleep in different places! Has anyone actually had any luck with getting a refund from these people?

Looking on the web it appears lots of people have had exactly the same issue as me. I don't believe it is acceptable to have such a big dip. My last mattress was 10 years old and still completely flat. I wish I had never got rid of it and spent my hard earned cash on such rubbish.

I am sooooooo cross :o(

It is quite common with people who don't move around much in their sleep for memory foam to develop an imprint when new. As Sleepmasters have said you need to rotate the mattress in order to spread out the area of the mattress that is used. Once the mattress has even use over most of the surface any impressions should even out and disappear.

However, as other people have also had the same complaint, it would be worth putting your concerns in writing now. Then if it doesn't improve then you will have a record that you raised the complaint.

From reading other threads regarding complaints about Sleepmasters, it appears that they monitor this forum, and occasionally reply with the usual sales propoganda. So if it does come to a battle to get a refund, then it seems that the best way to get them to do anything would be to mention the MSE forums, as they don't like any negative press.
