Christmas open house

For the past few years we have had a christmas open house normally on one day of weekend before christmas. We invite friends and family to call in any time between say 12 and 5 or whatever and have a mince pie etc.Normally put invites in with xmas cards. We have mulled wine ,a few nibbles and obviously mince pies. Its a great chance to see people before the big day and kids love it. We normally print off a few xmas activity sheets etc .People also know you will be in and dont worry that you wil be too busy.Just thought other people might like the idea:beer:
One day the big prize will be mine!

ajr, we do that too :D On Christmas Eve

Ours has turned into a full-blown buffet and I can't fit all the food on the table :rotfl: We seem to manage to fit the drink on just fine :D

I have a great pic of my dad from last year, he [strike]passed out[/strike] fell asleep on the sofa and the kids decorated him. He looked like a badly done Christmas tree :rotfl:

Excellent idea - think I will adopt this - makes more sense for us to do it on the sat before chritmas - alos means that we will not be doing to running around, but people can come to us. Cheers!
