I am usually careful about buying online but have been looking for something in particular as a present and found it at
www.christmas-tree-company.co.uk and went ahead with my purchase.
No delivery, no response to my emails and to-day the telephone number was answered by someone who said I had dialled a private residence, after a recorded message from (the christmas tree company, press 1 etc).
Anyone know anything about them?
On checking the website today everything is out of stock.

Doesn't look good.
Basic site uses an American template.
No phone number unless you hunt for it.
Address is a business centre: "All mail will be forwarded to you as often as you like, or you can come in and ..."

If you paid by Credit Card or a Visa Debit card I would contact them for a chargeback. The man without a signature.0 -
No I am inclined to agree it doesn't.
I did pay by cc and have contacted them today re chargeback
It wasn't a lot of money just the hassle of it really.
Thanks for your reply.0 -
You can contact them using Twitter if you have a product or delivery question! It's at the bottom of the About Us page. Now they seems REALLY professional! :rotfl:0

I can't quite believe it (I was so sure that I bought from a dodgy site) but just received my order in the post.
So congrats www.christmas-tree-company.co.uk you proved me wrong I am impressed.
Now got to cancel the chargeback etc, my own fault, I suppose, for being so suspicious.0 -
Maybe this proves there is a Santa Claus....... (but it is best to be cautious).MSE is a religion and the Arms is its Temple:money:

As a UK Limited company trading online they should be displaying their company number and vat number if they have one - they are doing neither although they do have an address of sorts:
http://www.christmas-tree-company.co.uk/about-us/
They should still display the other info though. They are registered at Companies House:

best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."
