I finally did some unpacking yesterday and came across the box set of hitchikers guide to the galaxy. I think I shall start reading them next.
Still haven't found all my Nicholas Evans books. He has new one out but I am going to wait until it is available as paperback (ooh, it is available on Kindle, I might just have to treat myself...).

HOw's everyone getting on?
Finished HHikers finally - first 3 were enjoyable, last 2 less so.
Now reading Short history of tractors in Ukrainian. Quite funny but not loving it yet.

I just finished TKAMB - how wonderful. I really loved it. Who was the character I identified with? Of course Scout. Who was the character I wanted to be like? I don't know but it is not Atticus - he is to be admired but is too perfect to be like. Probably Miss Maudie is the one I wanted to be with - belief without dogma, dignity without pride, nice without exaggeration.
Just got some more books from Kindle - I suppose I will read the latest Lee Child (Worth Dying For) now; it is Christmas after all.

Hi Aureol, I am really pleased with my Kindle - it is light and you can take many books on it, and the books are cheaper to buy. Well worth the investment.
Also now there is a Kindle computer application for pc so that people can read Kindle books without buying a Kindle. It is good for certain things but I still like the Kindle screen better.

Just dug out a copy of vintage stuff by tom sharpe. The book is pant wettingly funny, as are most of sharpes stuff. "Wilt" made me cry out loud on the train reading it.
A must if you are feeling low0 -

He (Atticus) is great - he is the moral centre of this community. But a hard act to follow. How do you feel about Miss Maudie?
