Well I have joined the '% of money after bills to go on debts challenge' in the hope that it will really motivate me to decrease my debts. I am being extremely ambitious in that I am aiming to pay off 100% of my debt by next NYE - this means that I have to pay 91% of my spare income on bills (£471 a month) - its going to be hard, but if I dont fritter money away like I ususally do on clothes/treats/bits of tat for the children, and stop myself buying so many books (my weakness) and use my library more, plus cut down my shopping budget by a little each week it its doable.

Its a snow day today - both DS1's school and DS2's preschool are closed. I am doing a BSL course on a Wednesday morning and the college is also closed. So we are snuggled up and we are going to watch Toy Story 3 - and it will be a no-spend day as we cant get anywhere to spend.

Have a terrible cold this morning and feel awful - snow is still coming down and both boys are not at school again so atleast I dont have to do the school run. On the downside DS1 was supposed to be going to the Pantomime with school today and they are not able to go - so he is a bit upset.
Annoyed with HSBC too - took a cheque to my local branch on Monday morning. It didnt appear into my account until Tuesday evening and so hasnt cleared today, never mind, it will be cleared tomorrow.
Still waiting for my Opus card statement so that I know the payment details of my new account.
Still its Friday tomorrow and that means the weekend

Everything is still covered in snow but both boys are back at school today (Hurrah!).
Been offered a new job as a lunchtime Supervisor at DS's school which starts in January, so I can hand in my notice tomorrow at my weekend job - it will be lovely to spend the weekend mornings with the children rather than in a supermarket, I am so happy
Got my Opus statement so I can start making payments - the debt stands at just over £1000 and so I am hoping to have this gone by Easter (fingers crossed)
