Parcel2go - beware 5% Ebay problems.

Just had an experience of using parcel2go. I followed their instructions for the 5% Ebay discount. When my item was sold I went onto their site, entered my ebay item number and got the discount code. Tried to use the code and it wouldnt work, went onto the live chat help thing and spoke with Craig who told me to complete my booking and then go back onto live chat and they will refund my 5%. I did all that and was then told sorry we can only refund to a prepay account! That was never mentioned before, it doesnt say it on their site anywhere either. I've told them several times to refund it to my card, I wont be using them again. I'm now playing email ping pong and getting nowhere, what a bunch of crooks.

I do sympathise. Look further down the ranting list at my Parcel2Go post. Their customer service is frustrating and it is so hard to contact them at all. I plan to avoid them in future. I'm afraid you won't find much sympathy on these pages from many other people - don't know why since you post these messages to warn other people as much as to get it off your own chest. I hope you haven't lost too much money. There's someone else out here that feels the same!!!0

I always thought that as an item is paid via your Paypal account, any discount offers would also go to your paypal account, akin to where the money goes for any item you have sold.
I cannot say I have used ANY discount offers from third parties via Ebay to confirm it, but would imagine this was a standard practice, unless specifically stated otherwise.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I cannot imagine the OP is looking for sympathy, generally these forums are used for asking or giving advice, if you feel so strongly about members offering "sympathy" rather than clarification and\or "to the point" advice, it is probably best you liaise with the Samaritans instead, as for as long as I have been a member of MSE, forum posts are generally about offering or giving advice to other members.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I have a small eBay shop myself and have used parcel to gos but I found a better booking service at myparceldelivery.com, especially their eBay page, which is so useful. I can get 5% off all deliveries too with their membership scheme and my codes have always worked fine. Oh they also don't charge th paypal fee also. You might be better off trying them out instead. Good luck!0

Parcel2go was paid for separately with a credit card, they offer a 5% discount if you show their logo on your Ebay listing. I wasn't looking for or expecting sympathy when I posted in this forum, just an account of my experience of using them, they don't owe me a fortune but its a matter of principle, they've contradicted themselves and basically lied to get away with paying me, I followed the information provided on their site 'to the letter' but they are making it up as they go along, as I said before, bunch of crooks.0 -
parcel to go are crooks anyway. if your item gets broken they will try and claim its something similar from their no compensation list (like they did to me with an item that clearly wasnt what they were trying to say it was to exempt themselves from paying compensation.
i filed a small claims court case for them and they agreed to pay me the compensation.
make sure to check their list of exemptions before sending anything!!! i wont be using them ever again, even for a cuddly toy!0 -
Parcel2Go- 2 issues-
1). Signed up for their PrePay account- paid in £50 as at time they offered to top up another £10- that has never happened...........
2). One parcel consignment stolen in transit from theri courier- to date no compensation despite having their insurance.
I now only use InterParcel- can recommend their excellent service, and when I did have one parcel go AWOL had full refund within a week or so.0
