Just about to discuss a completion date & as we booked a weeks holiday to fuertaventura a while back it's thrown a spanner in the works so to speak!:D Anyways we're discussing a date and my gf wants friday 17th december so I said how about Monday 13th december to which she replies you can only complete on a Friday?!
Is that true can you only complete on a Friday & if so why is that?!

No. You can complete any weekday but lots of people prefer Friday as the weekend follows. Best not to complete on a Friday in case anything goes wrong. Monday is best.0

We completed yesterday - which was a Wednesday.
I believe it's semi-historical and convention that means that lots of moves happen on a Friday - so probably particularly in chains where you all get to shuffle up the property ladder together. I guess the logic is that then you've got all weekend to find out where the heck you packed the kettle before going back to work on the Monday.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Nhere is nothing to stop you completing on a Friday and only moving the following Monday0

We exchanged and completed on the same tuesday. I specifically asked that we didn't complete on a friday in case we had any problems and we'd end up having to wait a whole weekend to sort them out.0
