Printer help please

Options
Hi there, I have a Canon pixma mp130 printer that I have been trying to find a driver online for as I have lost the disks and want to install it on my new laptop which has windows 7. I have had a good look on google but I can only find mp140, nothing before that. Hope one of you guys can help me out as it is starting to drive me insane. X

    OP said Windows 7.

This is the link that you can download it from, straight from the Canon site:

Choose the OS and language then a Javascript page should appear to download the drivers when you click submit.
  • Thanks guys, I downloaded the right language and os choices from canon but when i go to use my printer it says that it is an mp140 and says that the printer is not responding. So I don't know what to do now. x

All IT problems require tampering, unfortunately there isn't always a definite answer to an IT problem, it's a case of trial and error for someone that knows what result they want.

I'd personally advise installing the mp140 drivers and see if it recognises them.

Let me know if you have any further problems I'll try and troubleshoot for you. :)
  • arrontdep, I have installed the mp140 and still it is not recognising it. Still says printer not responding. Boo

You have a stubborn printer, I don't have a Canon myself, I have a HP one so I don't know how tempremental yours would be. Have you turned it off and back on again? :D

Remove all the software on your computer and turn off the printer. Restart the computer and turn the printer back on. See if it still does the same thing.

Also if you are trying to connect via Wifi then I'd advise plugging your printer USB wire into the computer. Let me know how you get on.
  • I have it connected via the usb. Just did what you said and it is still not working. Think I am going to have to buy a new printer :(
