Central heating not working Please help

I hope someone can help as it's freezing this morning. My Saunier Duval boiler's playing up. The hot water's working ok but the heating didn't come on this morning and the light was flashing on it so I followed the instructions and turned the blue knob but the pressure didn't rise, it's on about .75 (3 bars). If I can get a plumber out today how much should I expect to pay for the repair? Thanks for any advice.

something between £50 and £1000. Impossible to say without knowing what the problem is - could be the valve controlled by the blue knob is stuck or something in the boiler itself could be knackered.0

A friend had a look and opened a valve which increased the pressure when the blue valve was turned so we have heat again. Hurray.0

make sure its up about 1.5 bar and check whether its dropping down after a day or two. If it is you have a leak that you'll need to find and resolve.0

and 1.5 bar is when its COLD. The pressure will rise when it gets hot but as long as it doesn't go above 2.5/3 bar it'll be fine. If it does then the PRV will operate and you'll get water coming out of the drain (15mm copper pipe) outside and the pressure will fall again. You don't give the model but if its a condensing boiler check that the condensate drain isn't frozen in this weather too.

Might be worth checking the manual for the correct cold pressure.
I have a Saunier Duval boiler and the correct cold pressure for mine is 1 bar.
It kicks out when the pressure drops too low i.e. 0.6 bar and lower, so as mentioned it sounds like you may have a leak somewhere, so keep tabs on it otherwise it will re-occur and could cause water damage somewhere.0
