Can i exchange my present???

I recieved a lcd tv 15 in from my aunty and uncle for my birthday on saturday,which i didnt really need.they don know where they put the reciept for it ,they thought they put it in the box but its not .Will i be able to return it to argos and get vouchers to use for something else as i dont have the receipt??

Can you ask your relatives if they have their bank or credit card statement for the purchase, Argos will accept this as proof of purchase! You should be able to get a refund onto a gift card then!
PS Do they want another niece, as I get rubbish pressies off mine!!!!0 -
If you have the original box ect you should be able to get argos vouchers without the receipt.0

The box has to have the argos catalogue number on it (the proper sticker, not just written on by you!) and then it is still only at manager's discretion, especially on expensive items like this. ALso without the receipt/credit card statement proving when it was bought you will only be able to get a refund for the lowest selling price of the item.0

I've just read this thread and am fairly horrified to see people recommending committing fraud against Argos. I certainly would not suggest you do what these people have done.0 -
Thankyou everyone.It went very well in argos .I told the lady the truth and she didnt hesitate to give me a gift card with the £149.99 on for me .Very pleased and can start looking for something else now.
