Since yesterday hotmail not working properly......just me?

I can sign in. Yesterday I could see all my new mail but couldn't open anything. Today it just shows the columns on the left saying how much new mail, junk mail there is etc but no actual mail is displayed in the main part of the page.
I'm a bit perplexed as I've never had a problem in years.
Only thing I can think of is that my phone line was cancelled yesterday, but I'm still receiving broadband no problem (via Virgin cable) and everything else seems to be working as normal.
Any ideas?
