disc cleanup

hi folks,i am having trouble running the disc clean up on my pooter.i run xp home ed.i,ve run spybot s&d and i,ve also run ccleaner both with no probs.i have also run a defrag with no probs but evey time i try the disc clean up it starts,gets three green bars on the running meter and that where it stays.i,ve done cont,alt and dlete and it says the prog is running but i,ve left it for a couple of hours and still nothing.i,d be gratefull for any suggestions as i am now out of ideas.

Which disk clean up?

have you tried highlighting explorer and doing end task (you can restart explorer by doing new task explorer).

From my experience, it's probably still running. The more data you have on the hard drive the longer it takes. I've known it to take upwards of 2 hours before.
