Bank of Scotland PPI query

Hello, I wonder if anyone can advise;- I wrote off to the FOS in June concerning a PPI Claim going back to 1993 involving BoS, and they then considered my case and then wrote to me on 20th September saying they had written to BoS in Chester for their comments. FOS told me today on the phone that no reply has been received from BoS, that is over 10 weeks later. They also tell me that the Bank is given 3 chances to reply.
So has anyone else had a similar situation and are BoS unlikely to reply because of the claims being on hold awaiting Judicial Review ?
Many thanks !

Oh, and for anyone interested, I have just had a £171 settlement on a loan with PPI from Alliance & Leicester, now handled by Santander. Very efficient they were too, paid direct to my account 3 weeks ago. This went back to a loan in 1993, so well worth pursuing !

First of all well done on your win :T:T You will have to wait for the "3 chances" i am afraid, and you may have your claim put on hold with the judicial review. When you put your first complaint to the bos, what reply did they give you?, as if you did not approach the bank first, then you will still have to wait the 8 weeks and then more time may be asked for, that is why this is taking time as there is a due process to go through.humbertding wrote: »Hello, I wonder if anyone can advise;- I wrote off to the FOS in June concerning a PPI Claim going back to 1993 involving BoS, and they then considered my case and then wrote to me on 20th September saying they had written to BoS in Chester for their comments. Well, blow me down, but no sooner than I wrote the first message about BoS not responding to FoS since they wrote to them on 20th September, in the next post I received a letter from the FoS.
"My colleague wrote to you recently to explain that we would be contacting Bank of Scotland about your complaint. Our next step is to hand your complaint to one of our adjudicators, who will consider carefully what you and Bank of Scotland have said, before setting out their view on how the complaint should be settled."
It goes on to say,".............. it may be a while before one of our adjudicators is able to look into your case"
So Bank of Scotland have written back to the FoS ( I assume )
So my next question is ;
a) How long does this take - any ideas please ?
b) When FoS get round to considering my complaint, and should I be fortunate enough for them to rule in my favour, is this process still subject to BoS claims being put on hold for the Judicial Review ?
Any answers much appreciated, as always !
