First time buyer - utilities question

Hi everyone,
First time buyer and first post on here.
I'm completing on my house on Monday. I have made the necessary calls to water, gas, electric companies. The current owners have sky, and talk talk phone and broadband. My question is do I also have to call these to cancel them? I don't plan on having sky or a land line for a while.
I can't see any relevant info on their websites.
Thank you
Matt

You have no contract with them so do not need to contact them. Any liability for bills lies with the vendors who have the contract. It is up to them to cancel or transfer their service......or not.
For all you know the vendors may have other contracts with other service providers, but likewise this is not your problem.0 -
As above. The old owner of an house i bought three years ago (repro) is still paying for the phone line!!0
