IVA set up - budget question
Options
Hi All,
This is my first time posting on here but I've been reading for a couple of weeks and it's really helped me not feel so daft for getting myself in this situation, thank you.
I am in the process of setting up an IVA with Payplan, I have received my proposal and had a few changes to make to the budget as my broadband had been missed and I'd forgotten pet insurance. I checked whether it would reduce the chance of it being accepted and was told it shouldn't as I had a good offer of 43%.
Then, when I went to the petrol station I realised, I only have £60 in the budget for petrol and I have only just made a £55 tank last 2 and a bit weeks.
In January my salary should go up from £19.5k to £22k so then I should be able to manage the extra petrol, but I was advised we have to do the proposal on current salary as I don't have any guarantees of the increase.
So, my question is, do I call again and ask for the proposals to be changed allowing more for petrol, or do I suck it up and take the money from elsewhere for a bit?
Thanks all, I hope that isn't a really daft question, I'm still trying to get my head around what to do for the best!

Make sure the budget reflects your ability to pay!
Many people on here take great delight informing you about the number of IVAs that fail, don't be one of them!
You're allowed almost double your current petrol allowance - no wonder your dividend is high!
I'm not a fan of Payplan anyway but that just sounds silly! It might be worth posting your whole I&E up here to see if there are other areas your budget doesn't cover!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
