Injury to feelings - can I claim

I never meant to cause such a fuss!
All I wanted was for him to pay the pension that was owed. I don't think I should have had to chase for this...
I also think he should have told me face to face he did not want to carry on. I rang him after getting my notice and suggested a coffee and friendly separation - my aim has not been money, rather fair-play.
I told him from the off that any monies above what were owed (i.e. if the tribunal gave some for poor treatment) would be given to charity.
So, the angry and critical replies here surprise me - ah well! xx:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Yeah, it was fine about the pension. But the question which sticks out is:I never meant to cause such a fuss!

so in that context, the idea of getting compo over and above your losses was bound to generate interest.hartcjhart wrote: »perhaps the OP and her were getting jiggy:eek:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Out of curiosity, How long did it take between not returning the phone calls and stuff to acting getting your court date?I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

He laid me off in May. In July he confirmed he would pay into my pension. When it came to August and he had not I said I would go to tribunal. He then cancelled the 1st ET in October and just settled two days before this one was due.0 -
There are people out there getting made redundant left right and centre just before Xmas through no fault of their own and their benefits and redundancy are just filtering through.I think they also have hurt feelings and are suffering from stress. Some were notified by text that they were redundant!
Your winging that you have 'hurt feelings and want to claim' is pushing it
as someone said ' grow a pair!'
It is the way things are at the moment and you are not the only one affected by it0 -

"People like me" you mean - laid off by email, having to chase payments for work undertaken and their contractual rights.
Maybe it's because I've got "a pair" that I made sure I got what was rightfully mine.
Read it again and you will see I did not say I was the only one and did not belittle other people who have been through more. Just 'cause there are worse travesties out there does not make this guy right.
Thanks so much for your insightful input0 -
No the guy isn't right and you are well within your rights to persue him for everything he legitimately owes to you.
My insight is due to personal experience having been on the receiving end.
Unfortunately 'hurt feelings' are not taken into account however 'sensitive' you may be.0 -
Jeez is this how alleged company directors think, no wonder the UK has gone down the pan, ahhh bless, drag up a bean bag and lets have a hug and then work out how we can sue everyone who doesnt do what we want, five months employment ? christ, try a lifetime of stress.0
