The question you shouldbe asking first is have you ever had 1Mb on BB.
I am on AOL silver as well but my telephone line will only work 512 Kb so.
If you can say you have had 1 Mb in the past then we can look further0 -
There are so many things that affect the speed of a connection.
Distance from the exchange, the further away you are the more noise on the line and a reduction in the speed.
Source of the download if it is only uploading at 600kbps then you only ever doing to get 600kbps, this also applies to the speed test's don't just go off 1 speed test try a few different ones and at different times of the day, make a record of them over a few days at different times ect and contact AOL with the evidence. AOL are the only ones you can speak to about this we cant do anything, you could check the filters/swap them but it shouldn't make much difference0 -
i was previously on aol platinum and got upto about 2 meg so i know my line is capable of better speedits just very frustraing when they tell you you`l get a constant 1mb and you don`t!A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

Download speeds up to 1Mbps1 - that's up to 20x faster than dial-up.
If your modem is syncing at 1.6, you are getting better than 1MbEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Exactly, it's the 'up to' crunch term.
I'm on 8mb, but have rarely seen speeds of even half that.0
