Dow Corning 785 is the way forward.0

Certainly is. you'll need to create an account first time you go but thats a simple process of name and address.
As for the price difference, B&Q are probably double the price on all silicon compared with Screwfix. I'd steer clear of the no-nonsense stuff to be honest and stick to a known brand with good reviews.0 -
Bathroom is cleaned roughly fortnightly ish.
The Evo Stick brand get right terrible reviews on that Screwfix site. Their No Nonsense one gets good review, but does appear far too cheap! The Dow Corning also gets good reviews on Screwfix, and still half price of Unibond... Might give that a go.
There's a Screwfix store new me, are their in store prices the same as web?
because alot of times they dont have things in stock -they order for the next day collection“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

ok this might not be what you want to hear because its expensive but it is without a shadow of doubt the best bath sealer i have ever used/seen. I refurbished our bathroom 4 years ago and this stuff is still in place and still as white and as clean looking as when it was 1st put there which took about 30 minutes to do.

its nearly 40 quid now but imho it is the best and will probably outlast any silicone sealer for years and years to come.0 -
I would recommend using a make like mapei, bal or webber as these are high quality makes, will offer good flex and be effective against mould.
Dont scrimp on sealant, in alot of bathrooms i see the sealant has come away from the bath.
After seeing this alot i now backfill any gaps between the bottom of the tile and the bath/ shower etc and finish it flush with the tile edge. After that i apply another bead connecting the tile and bath/shower edge.0 -

I was expecting that, but not so on the Unibond:

£10.98 for less than 3

£9.98 each
Still the Don Corning is cheaper than both at Screwfix. I'm down Lakeside anyway Saturday, so will pop by. Thanks everyone for all the tips.0 -
This is what we used in our shower cubicle http://www.byretech.com/acatalog/jump-bath-shower.html it is expensive but it was the best money we ever spent still looks as good as when we put it in 2 years later. We had tried everything before and could not get a good finish it went black and I am sure it leaked but this is well worth paying more for. We did find it online for about £33 including delivery but I can't remember where.0

Why is everyone banging on about Screwfix and ridiculous prices charged by the sheds for carp. Go to your local plumbers or builders merchant and get:Dow Corning 785 is the way forward.

Screwfix are B&Q in any event. Local Merchants are definitely the best place to go and without the huge mark ups that DIY chains have on these sorts of items.
Next time round, I'll be giving Mazroy's suggestion a go. Looks ideal as a long term and neat solution. Worth £40 if it performs and stays clean and fresh.0 -

I have just resealed my bath. I was tempted to buy the above but I couldn't justify the cost considering the bathroom would be replaced in another year or so. Instead a cheap replacement was PVc quadrant held down with a strong adhesive and dow corning sealant used at the top and bottom of the quadrant.-Keep your eyes to the sunshine and you would not see the shadows-
