How much to fit a cat flap into double glazed glass french/patio doors?

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a rough estimate/quote for a cat flap to be fitted in a double glazed glass french/patio door. Glass Measuring approx 168cm by 62cm. I really want a cat for Christmas and the only way to convince by boyfriend to let me have one is if I get a cheap(ish) quote for a cat flap. Any advice/info would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Helen x

I recall from previous threads on this subject that this will involve replacing the whole glass, you can't just insert a cat flap into an existing pane.
Can't recall estimated costs but it might be worth searching for previous threads as I think some of them may have included costs.0 -
I sort of second what yorkie said.
I have a double glazed UPVC/glass back door (top 1/2 glazed, small middle panel of UPVC where handle is, bottom glazed) and had a quote of £197.56 :eek::eek: as they had to replace the glass.
We decided on a different arrangement.........The cat meows......... I let it out..............The cat meows................I let it in

My daughter has just had this done for her cats. The glass cost £130 from a local glass/joinery company in Manchester; fitting would have been £40, but I did it myself. Another £40 if we wanted them to come and measure up first.
You HAVE to have new glass as the hole is cutout first, THEN the glass is toughened. You can't cut holes in glass that is already toughened.......
Look at the other threads though. Some people have been quoted anything up to £500 by some of the national double glazing pirates.
Best of luck
