Debenhams - SHOCKING NEVER USE!

Well the saga continues... I finally after more problems have received my money back after a month of chasing. I have now ordered 3 electrical items through my wedding account, and they have now been cancelled by Debenhams after payment was taken for them!!! The only reason i found out was because i went into store and asked, to be told they have sold out due to Christmas. I can honestly say i think they are the most dis organized company i have ever delt with. I have requested they keep the gift card and refund me the money has been paid onto it. I assume i have very little chance of this, however am i covered by any consumer laws, this is a joke???

I wouldnt complain to much about the refund after a month -thats how long they have to refund you and did so.
Im not to sure about being refunded on the money on the gift card though.

Is a wedding card essentially the same as a gift card?

It took the retailer I worked for no more than 15 minutes for the money to be loaded and the tills to see it.

Exactly, and the retailer i work for! It's a catalogue of errors and i am so frustrated with them now. I can't believe that all of the goods i have ordered are out of stock and they didn't even tell us!!!

Even if 30 days is the time they have, this is incredibly bad customer service for a company this size.
