I do find it incredible that some sellers seem to want to deliberately antagonise their buyers. Surely a simple 'sorry, just return them and I'll refund you' is a better solution here , paypal will almost certainly find for any buyer in this siatuation anyway, so why upset a buyer and risk a neg?

I find it unbelievable that some sellers will list clearly used items as new and think the buyer will not notice.
This is just causing a sale to go bad before they even post the item.
I have noticed from posts on here though it is normally clothes that sellers try this with.

That is a risk you take when ordering from ebay.

Some sellers will refund the return postage, but it is not a requirement & you find the ebay/paypal can not force the seller to refund it.

Sometimes its better to keep the seller on side so they are more willing to refund the return postage, rather then jumping the gun & demanding something which they are not obliged to do.

You can of course reflect your experience in any feedback you leave.
  • I am now escalting to ebay as seller has re listed item and worn and second hand also listed item as the 29 inch leg but has not refunded me anything yet... ebay can deal with this..... !!

  • Did you raise a dispute, or did you just return the jeans without doing so?

I've never been through a dispute but from what I've read on here Paypal would normally automatically refund once the item has been returned by trackable means? (apologies if i have got this completely wrong!)
