Quick update for anyone who was reading this.
Did exactly as Karnam said - got a single PAYG Oyster Card, put 80p on it, got the bus to the eye, and got 2 for 1 tickets saving £12.70 when you take into account the 80p.0 -

Have a look on ebay. Tickets turn up there sometimes.
You can also buy airmiles with tesco points, then use the airmiles to pay for London Eye tickets.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -

Do you know if babies are allowed on the lunch cruise - I really need a good anniversary present and this would be ideal. :money: Also any idea what the food/menu is like?In the words of Jerry Maguire "SHOW ME THE MONEY"0 -

Thanks for this and other related postings. Just got back from London where I was meeting my son who has an Oyster card for his everyday travel. His travel on the day to meet us at the London Eye qualified him to get 2 for 1 with no need for me to have a card too. He didn't ask the question, but they only let one of a party queue for tickets so chances are you would only have your own card on you.0
